MyHallWizard integrates with Stripe to allow your customers to pay their invoices online using credit or debit cards.

How It Works

Once you've connected your Stripe account, customers can pay invoices online by clicking the Pay by Card button on their invoice page. Card details are handled directly by Stripe — MyHallWizard never has access to your customers' card details and does not handle any money on your behalf.

When a customer completes payment through Stripe, MyHallWizard automatically creates a payment record and marks the invoice as paid.

Fees

Standard Stripe processing fees apply to all card payments, plus a 1% platform fee. There are no additional monthly or annual costs. These charges apply regardless of your subscription status, including during your free trial.

What the Customer Sees

When you send an invoice, the customer sees a Pay by Card button on the online invoice page. Clicking this takes them to Stripe's secure payment portal. After successful payment, they are returned to the invoice page with confirmation of their payment.

On the PDF version of the invoice, the payment method is listed as "Debit/Credit Card" with a link to the online invoice.

Setting Up Stripe

  1. Click the Settings icon (gear/cog) in the navigation bar

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Click the Stripe card

  4. Click Connect with Stripe

  5. Follow Stripe's onboarding process to create or connect your Stripe account. Stripe will ask for organisational information for AML/KYC compliance, which may include registration details, director information, and banking data.

Once connected, you'll see a confirmation message and a link to your Stripe dashboard.

Managing Your Stripe Integration

Viewing Payments and Refunds

Click Go to Stripe dashboard on the Stripe integration page to view payment details, process refunds, and manage disputes. Refunds processed through Stripe are automatically synced back to MyHallWizard.

Disabling Card Payments

If you want to temporarily stop accepting card payments without closing your Stripe account:

  1. Click the Settings icon, then click Invoice and Payment Settings

  2. Uncheck Debit/Credit Card (via Stripe) in the payment methods section

  3. Click Save Changes

This removes the Pay by Card option from future invoices. You can re-enable it at any time.

Closing Your Stripe Account

If you want to permanently close your Stripe account, do so from the Stripe dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com.

Important Notes

  • Refunds: If a payment was made using Stripe, you must process the refund through Stripe (not via MyHallWizard's payment screen). Stripe will automatically update MyHallWizard with the refund record.

  • In-person payments: Due to PCI compliance requirements, booking administrators cannot enter card details into MyHallWizard. For in-person card payments, use a separate card machine and record the payment manually.
