Clearing your browser’s cache can help with troubleshooting, improve the performance of your browser, and ensure that you see the most up-to-date information from websites. Below are the steps to clear the cache for all major browsers.
Google Chrome #
To clear the cache on Google Chrome, follow these steps:
- Open Chrome and click on the three dots menu at the top right corner.
- Select More tools and then Clear browsing data.
- In the pop-up window, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
- Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
- Click Clear data.
Mozilla Firefox #
To clear the cache on Mozilla Firefox, follow these steps:
- Click the menu button and select Settings.
- Select the Privacy & Security panel.
- In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data.
- Check the box next to Cached Web Content.
- Click Clear.
Microsoft Edge #
To clear the cache on Microsoft Edge, follow these steps:
- Click on the three dots menu at the top right corner and select Settings.
- Under Privacy, search, and services, find Clear browsing data and select Choose what to clear.
- Select a time range. To clear everything, select All time.

- Go to the Advanced tab and check the box next to Show Develop menu in menu bar.
- Click on the Develop menu and select Empty Caches.
